What To Expect Getting Acupuncture For The First Time?
For new patients that come to see me, I make sure we go nice and slow to start with and maybe add some deep breathing. Then they realize that it doesn't hurt and it's not a big deal. Yes, it's kind of weird at first, but you get over it quickly. Once those feel good hormones kick in, you are so relaxed that you don't have a care in the world.
What Does Acupuncture Feel Like?
At the acupuncture point, you may feel some warmth, heaviness, slight ache, or tingling. These sensations are completely normal and a good response since your nervous system, circulatory system, and endocrine system are being activated. Again, it isn't painful.
